Task Pear Privacy Policy

Task Pear is operated by Caramend Holdings Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through taskpear.com and the Task Pear service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give it, your mobile phone number and company name.
- Your choices: whether you agreed to receive marketing emails and whether you agreed to receive text messages, with the date and time, the page, and the version of the wording you agreed to.
- Account information, if you have an account: your sign-in details and settings.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited, used to run and protect the site.
How we use information
- To provide Task Pear, answer your requests and send messages you asked for.
- To send account and service messages, such as sign-in codes, security notices, confirmations and reminders.
- To send marketing emails, only if you agreed to receive them.
- To send text messages, only if you agreed to receive them.
- To protect the site and the service from abuse and to meet legal obligations.
We send account and service emails needed to provide Task Pear. Marketing emails are sent only if you agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time; we act on it right away. Opting out of marketing does not stop account and service emails.
Text messages
If you agree to receive text messages from Task Pear, we will send you the types of messages you agreed to, such as sign-in codes, confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using Task Pear. We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your mobile phone number only with the service providers that deliver our text messages for us, and only for that purpose.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run Task Pear (for example, hosting and email and text-message delivery), under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us; when the law requires it; or as part of a merger or sale of the business, under this policy.
Retention
We keep your information while you have an account or while it is needed for the purpose you gave it for. We keep records of your email and text-message consent and opt-outs for as long as needed to show we followed your choices. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing pear@taskpear.com. We will confirm the request comes from you and answer within 45 days. If we decline, you can appeal by replying with the word "Appeal". We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
Task Pear is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely protected against every risk.
Where information is stored
Task Pear stores information in the United States.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
